Are you SAP-assessor, energy assessor, or developer modelling house-types or apartments for SAP?

Let us do the WWHRS design for you!

Waste Water Heat Recovery for Showers (WWHRS) is one of the most cost-effective and simple to install measures available to housebuilders and developers for SAP compliance. For those moving from 2010 to 2013 regs, the adoption of WWHRS can often represent the most cost-effective option.

While designing in WWHRS to new-build residential schemes is relatively simple, we recognise that it can take time and expertise to ensure that your client or project utilises the best options in terms of product, design and installation costs, while still maintaining Part-L compliance.

Recoup can help here, by doing the WWHRS design for you.

Simply send us your development or house-type floor plans, and we will respond with a tabulated list of WWHRS options ready for SAP-modelling. This will then allow you to quickly and confidently recommend a specification or run cost-comparisons against other SAP-listed measures to ensure best value is achieved.

As an example, we’ve used this approach with a Regional Housebuilder who, following suggestions by their SAP assessor, had decided to move to using WWHRS. Having offered a number of different WWHRS options, following modelling the SAP assessor settled on the best and most cost-effective option for the scheme. These which is outlined in the table below, along with some example floor plan drawings.

From here, Recoup were able to put together a design document for the developer; site managers; and plumbing installers, so that all those involved understood how and where the WWHRS should be installed.

Recoup are committed to supporting our specifier, developer and installer & merchant partners through all stages of the design and build process. Drop us a line to see how we can help you!
